People looking for your website will sometimes use your phone number to find it. If your business's phone number was handed from one person to another, that might be the only way your new prospect has of finding you.
Your business's telephone number may get handed from one person to another, but without your business name or even personal name.
Search engines don't know what an image contains. If the contact telephone number on your website (you do have your telephone number on your website, right?) is displayed as an image, make sure its Alt Text contains the phone number. Search engines pick up Alt Texts and use them to create a keyword match with the image.
Go to Google now and search for your business's telephone number.
