Keyword Density and crisp posts

density

Keep your posts relevant, unambiguous and brief.

Relevant:

press-any-key
(thank you, Dreamstime, for use of this free image)

The  message you are trying to convey should always be relevant to the subject of your blog. For example, if your blog is about deep sea fishing, don't blog about your big office move or your favorite automobile; blog about deep sea fishing.

Unambiguous:

Remove any doubt about the point you are making, and use the precise word for the occasion. Give an example and a screenshot with callouts to illustrate your point if that helps the reader understand thoroughly the point you are making.

Brief:

Don't ramble on. Don't repeat yourself, unless as a point of clarification.

Take a look at the blog entry in the image. It a classic example of small talk. It dilutes the Keyword Density of the entire blog by talking on a subject (the office move) that is irrelevant to that blog (University admissions).

University-campus
Example of a rambling post with poor density. (Names blanks out to protect the innocent)
